In 2009, I published a book of my photos called "Solitary Moments." It was a sampling of images from my archive, which dates back to the mid 60's.
"Solitary Moments" was a self-published book, but I was happy with the layout and the reproduction quality, and I still enjoy looking through it from time to time. I had other volumes in progress, but those projects stalled due to the lack of time for scanning and tweaking the images.
The ceramic man pictured on the cover came from a trash room raid in a condo building where I lived during years of lean means. He's a reminder that there is always something good within sight.
For a long time, I would not crop my images. More recently, I've tried easing up on that, though I still believe it's important to scan and utilize every part of the frame. The bulk of my work is and will probably continue to be film-based, though I enjoy my Iphone camera and will be posting some of those in the near future.
